The Secrets to a Good Life.

My name is Simon. When I was a boy, I loved sitting on the porch with my grandfather at sunset.
One evening I asked him, ‘Grandpa, what’s the secret to a good life?’ He smiled. ‘Not one big secret, son. A hundred little ones.’
He raised a finger. ‘Never be too busy to watch a sunset.’
Another finger. ‘Be kind to people, even when you’re tired.’
A third finger. ‘Don’t measure your day by what you finished… but by who you made smile.’
Back then, I didn’t fully understand. But years later, whenever life feels heavy, I remember that porch… and his simple words.
Now I tell my own children: Watch the sunset. Be kind. Make someone smile.
The greatest life lessons are often spoken softly — and carried forward through love.
