There is always light in you.

When I was little, I loved sitting on the bathroom counter, watching my mom get ready in the mornings.
One day I asked, “Mom, why do you always smile at the mirror?”
She laughed softly. “Because if I start the day with a smile, I’m already halfway to a good day.”
Back then, I thought it was just one of her sayings.
But growing up, when I doubted myself, she would stand beside me and whisper, “Don’t look for flaws — look for the light.”
“There’s always light in you.”
Now, as an adult, I catch myself doing the same thing… pausing at the mirror and smiling back.
And on the hardest days, I still hear her voice: “There’s always light in you.”
A mother’s love often lives on in the quiet habits she teaches us. There is always light in you.
