This series of exercises is designed to be flexible, human, and repeatable to Actually Help You Unwind. Together, they form a gentle evening arc. No strict bedtime. No “perfect” routine. Just signals that tell your body: the day is done. Let’s begin with Exercise 1. Dim Before You Rest. The Purpose of this exercise is to Tell your brain the day is closing.60 to 90 minutes before sleep Lower the lights in one room. Turn off overhead lighting if possible. Use lamps, warm light, or candles. Sit or stand still for 30 seconds and notice the shift. Body Check: Do your shoulders drop? Does your breathing slow naturally? Why It Works: Light controls your internal clock. Dimming light whispers: “You don’t need to stay alert anymore.” The perfect evening doesn’t fix your life. It closes the loop. Not with discipline. With permission. Start small. Be consistent. Feel better.
