This is the starting point for the Background-Stress Mind. You’re functioning, but unbalanced. The goal is to restore equilibrium before a breakdown.
First, take two minutes. Pause and ask yourself: ‘What does my system need right now?’ This interrupts autopilot stress.
Next, inhale for 4 counts, exhale for 6 counts. This rebalances your stress response. Repeat for 3 minutes.
Exercise 3: Spend five minutes doing just one task without multitasking. This reduces cognitive fragmentation.
Lastly, take two minutes to name one thing that went well during the day. Close your day evenly, not depleted.
This is your starting point for restoring equilibrium before a breakdown. From here, you may follow your own path toward calm. CalmEveryDay. Keep Calm Simple.
