Welcome to calmeveryday.com Find your Inner Peace.
This is your daily Gentle Tai Chi session. Let’s now work on improving our sense of balance and grounding. In this session, we’ll explore balance and grounding — key elements of Tai Chi. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your weight evenly distributed. Gently shift your weight to your right foot, lifting your left heel slightly. Return to center, and now shift to your left foot, lifting your right heel. Continue this side-to-side motion — smooth and steady. As you shift, feel your feet connecting with the floor — this is your root. Now, slowly lift your right foot off the ground, just a few centimeters. Balance for a moment, then place it down. Repeat with your left foot — lift, hold, and return. If you need support, hold onto a chair or wall — the goal is steady awareness. Finish with both feet grounded. Breathe deeply and feel the stability beneath you. Well done — you’ve strengthened both balance and confidence. Now bring your palms together in front of your chest. As you inhale, slowly raise your hands upward, following the breath. As you exhale, bring them back down, imagining you are pressing calm energy into the earth. This movement helps your body remember stability — inside and out. To finish, stand tall again, breathe deeply, and feel the connection between your feet and the ground.
