Author’s Reflection
I didn’t write this book to tell a story.
I wrote it to listen to one.
For years, I thought peace was something you earned —
after healing, after love, after loss.
But silence taught me otherwise.
It showed me that peace was never gone;
I had simply forgotten how to hear it.
Magda’s journey began as a whisper in that silence —
a reminder that life doesn’t need to shout to be beautiful.
She isn’t a hero.
She’s every part of us that once hid behind noise and is learning, slowly, to breathe again.
This book was born from quiet mornings, long walks,
and the spaces between words —
the moments that ask for nothing and give everything.
If it finds you in a season of stillness,
may it keep you company there.
If it finds you in noise,
may it remind you that silence is not absence —
it’s presence, waiting to be remembered.
And when the light finally fades,
may you see that it never really left.
It simply changed form —
and became part of you.
